Finally, Summer has arrived!  Not the wonderful season of balmy days, long evenings and plenty of heat, nor the season of drought, hosepipe bans and restrictions that many of you may experience each year. The Summer I'm talking about is the long awaited final member of my Four Seasons range of candles. When I first started work on a blend to represent summer, a very dear farmer friend suggested it should smell of freshly mown grass. I worked on that for a while, but finally had to give up because the essential oils that lend themselves to creating such a scent are more expensive than most and wouldn't fit my pricing. So I had to think outside the proverbial 'box' and came up with a very different take on summer. The resulting candle takes me right back to being 11 and being taken out shopping in Athens by one of my mother's cousins. The tall, striking lawyer took me to perfumeries and loaded me with more than the then customs allowance for perfume during his lunch hour. The scent I've created is a reflection of the colognes he bought me that day. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy that memory.

All our candles are made only of sustainable plant waxes and pure essential oils - this means they are all-natural, vegan and are paraffin and palm oil free. They do not contain any artificial colouring. They come in tins because tinplate is infinitely recyclable, whereas many glass containers aren’t recyclable.
